Robert Maillet was born on October 26, 1969, in Georgetown Ontario but was raised in Ste-Marie-de-Kent, New Brunswick, A French- Acadian village in Canada. Information concerning his parents, siblings and where he attended high school is not made public.

He received wrestling training from professional wrestlers like Stephen Petitpas, Bret Hart, Leo Burke before launching his career in the WWF on November 11, 1991, where he wrestled as The Cajun Giant, defeating Bob Bradley in a dark match at a television taping in Utica, NY. 2. He is sometimes referred to as Goliath El Gigante

When Robert started to work for Super World of Sports, he earned the name Giant Goliath and by the time he started working for the Japanese W*ING promotion he was christened Goliath El Gigante. These names were given to him because of his terrifying height and body stature. The actor stands is seven feet tall.

In 1997, he joined the WWF alongside Donald Don Callis who is professionally known as “The Jackyl”. They became members of The Truth Commission and was sent to the United States Wrestling Association (USWA) before being called up to the main WWF roster. On his return to the ring in the US soil, his ring name changed to “The Interrogator”. This name was inspired by The Kurgan, and was occasionally referred to as Kurrgan the Interrogator on television.

The Truth Commission later left the wrestling business living him to join The Oddities. Robert continued to appear in single wrestling matches under the ring names, Acadian Giant, Kurgan, Kurrgan, and many more. He has since retired from the ring to focus on his acting career.

3. Robert Maillet played the role of Frankenstein in Monster Brawl

He made his acting debut in 2006 film “300” as the Über-Immortal, a savage berserker who was part of the enemy’s imperial guard. The film is an adaptation of Frank Miller’s graphic novel of the same name. The film was a commercial success and he was praised for his role.

In 2008, he starred as dredger in “Sherlock Holmes”. During a fight scene in the movie, he accidentally punched Robert Downey Jr. in the face. In 2011, he played a Russian professional boxer who took a dive in the film “The Big Bang”. Later that same year, he starred in the film “Monster Brawl” as Frankenstein in a wrestling tournament of eight classic monsters that fight to the death.

In 2018, he had a small part in the superhero film “Deadpool 2” as Sluggo, a mutant mercenary who is in prison alongside the titular character. Robert has since focused in making movies and age is not a barrier as he can still extend his filmography before his second retirement.
